The NWSC Board of Directors met in December and adopted a 2024 budget including new water rates. The rates will be reflected beginning with the February 2024 water bills. Please be advised of the following alerts issued for our region:

Freeze Warning: In effect from 12:00 AM to 1:00 PM CST, Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
Cold Weather Advisory: In effect from 9:00 PM CST tonight to 9:00 AM CST Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

Key Impacts:

Wind chills as low as 14°F.
Temperatures as low as 29°F.
Prolonged exposure to cold can lead to hypothermia. Frost and freeze conditions can harm crops, vegetation, and unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Recommended Actions:

Protect People: Limit outdoor exposure and dress warmly.
Protect Pets: Bring pets indoors to ensure their safety.
Protect Pipes: Wrap and insulate outdoor plumbing to avoid damage.
Protect Plants: Cover sensitive plants or move them indoors if possible.
